Location: Albertson - HQ Job Status: Regular Part Time Date Posted: 1/11/2023     Responsibilities • Provide pre-employment transition services to students with varying disabilities both individually and in groups. • Provide job readiness and job search workshops to motivate participants and help them develop the skills needed to prepare for transitioning from high school. • Develop and prepare training materials and lesson plans. Provide counseling, job coaching, job development, and job search assistance. • Provide instruction to participants in computer literacy, job search techniques, life skills, money management, self-advocacy, post-secondary options, job retention strategies, pre-vocational/career transition opportunities and other soft skills, as needed. • Conduct group participation activities to build self-esteem, enhance motivation to complete training, and improve communication skills. • Provide individual counseling related to vocational exploration, goal setting, and related pre-employment transition topics. • Assist in developing, designing, and maintaining appropriate documentation. • Conduct needs assessment through formal and informal evaluations. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Education • Related Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree working on a Master’s from an accredited university or college, or equivalent work experience • Related experience working with adolescents or adults with disabilities through job coaching, job development, prior ABA experience, or other business experience preferred. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources • Ability to travel locally.
