Responsibilities

Provide both direct and indirect services and plan and administer a full range of speech therapy evaluations and services for K – 8th grade students. Possess an extensive knowledge of and enthusiasm for speech and language development. Conduct individual student evaluations and screenings. Write evaluation reports, IEP goals and IEP present levels of performance. Create and teach engaging and differentiated lessons driven by students IEP goals. Conduct pull-out and push-in therapy sessions working with students 1:1, in small groups and in inclusive classroom environments. Monitor student progress and use this information to inform instruction. Write progress reports. Attend scheduled IEP meetings with applicable. Supervise Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants. Exhibit positive rapport with students, families and staff.

Qualifications & Education

Standard Speech-Language Pathologist PreK-12 Certificate. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Computer skills required. Must possess good interpersonal, time management, problem-solving and self-initiation skills.
