The Secondary Science Teacher at Henry Viscardi School will deliver engaging instruction using a variety of teaching methods and technology tools to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. The teacher will develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, clearly communicate objectives, and differentiate instruction to accommodate varied learning styles, abilities, and interests. Integrating technology into lessons to enhance accessibility, interaction, and learning outcomes is a key component of this role. The teacher will also assess student progress, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and create a classroom environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and academic growth.

Candidates must hold New York State Certification in Biology or Earth Science (7–12). Certification in Students with Disabilities(7–12) is strongly preferred. Experience differentiating instruction, utilizing educational technology, and supporting students with disabilities is highly desirable.
