Cashier / Assistant Cook Company: The Viscardi Center Location: Nassau County Job Status: Part Time Regular Date Posted: 6/3/2026 Pay Rate: -$18.50 / Hr     Responsibilities Assist in preparation of foods for HVS students’ breakfast and lunch. Provide support to the Line-Cook as necessary by preparing breakfast orders, salads, and other food items for customers. Maintain a clean work environment at all times by cleaning counters, cooking areas, removing of waste, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment, cases, etc. Operate the cash register to assist customers with their purchases and ensure transactions are accurate. Restock vending machines, refrigerators, and utensils. Keep inventory of products and alert supervisor to reorder. Provide coverage and prepare meals in the absence of the cafeteria supervisor or Line-Cook. Qualifications & Education High School diploma required. Prior food service experience, cash register and money management skills are required.
